The HKRFU New Years day youth rugby tournament is one of the feature tournaments of the Hong Kong Rugby Calendar. The event has existed in various forms from 1967. Age groupings range from 12 - 19 years old. All the boys and girls take part in a competitive atmosphere for a range of trophies and awards.

The David S Davies Foundation has been an ongoing supporter of youth Rugby in Hong Kong and believes the New Years Day youth rugby tournament to be a crucial part of Hong Kong’s development as a Rugby playing nation.

The Goal
In all of the DSDF’s support of Youth and Senior Rugby in Hong Kong, the goal is simple : Build a platform on which Hong Kong’s youth can progress, build their talents under correct and professional supervision. The HKRFU continues to supply a fantastic base for Hong Kong’s young rugby players and the DSD Foundation is only too happy to support the HKRFU’s ongoing progress.
